Let them hate so long as they fear.

False in one thing, false in everything.

No one wounds me with impunity.

It is a wise man who speaks little.

Oh, was I speaking latin?

I just clicked on the esr.ibilio.org link and had a look. Is that really Eric Raymond’s blog? What a tosser! No wonder this strip exists.

Yeah I know man. That was my reaction too. :) When I look at such things I like to imagine (and sometimes sing in a throaty alto) fairground music.

The strip – ahhhh latin, glorious latin – which I tried to learn once and gave up. Hmmm. renewed motivation.

Matthew: That should be “videtur”. “videre” is verb of the second conjugation. (This strip just demands that I be at my utmost Latin geekiness.)

Latin is a language,
As dead as can be.
First it killed the Romans,
And now it’s killing me.

Ah, good old fortune.

I came to this a bit late, but all I can say is…

CALIGULA???? ESR QUOTES *CALIGULA* AS AN IDEAL EXAMPLE FOR FOREIGN POLICY???? FUCKTARD!

Ahem. Sorry. Had to say it.

I read crap like that, well, that’s why I can’t bring myself to bother reading ‘The Bazaar and the Cathedral’.
